Wangee Park School Interactive Sensory garden was developed as a Centenary of Federation Community Project and officially opened in the Year 2000 by the Hon. Leo McLeay MLA. It is a true community project with contributions made by staff, students, parents and the local community, culminating in a beautiful outdoor learning environment, and an ideal setting for relaxation and celebrations.

The Interactive Sensory Garden
provides an ideal venue for celebrations, such as birthday parties,
live music concerts, barbecues, and assemblies. It also provides
inspiration for art and craft activities and supplies a plentiful crop of
herbs used for cooking lessons.
The garden is an ideal environment for learning about plants, insects and the weather while the aromatic and perfumed plants in the garden support the sensory focussed learning in the school. |
